Are you meaning the Uniden 396xt.If so i think it will pick up a digital signal.As long as the signal is not encrypted.So if you're trying to listern to police or SJA in Perth .Sorry no can do.

Unsure if it is encrypted or not.

There is a lot of customs and federal police at airport also.And they are also encrypted.Only digital unencrypted i know of in Perth is the Fire tenders at Perth airport.

The DP3400 is a analog / digital portable that uses MotoTRBO or TDMA transmissions in digital mode. It is NOT a P25 radio and therefore cannot be monitored using the UBCD396XT or other scanner currently sold on the market. The post heading clearly states MOTOTRBO DP3400.

Yes but the refueller radios are not DP3400's.. They are Kenwood TK-5320's

As I said earlier, if the channel programmed in the DP is analog, then you will hear the transmission on the scanner. If the channel programmed in the DP is TRBO/TDMA digital then you will not hear it on the scanner.

Now, the Kenwood TK-5320 is an analog / P25 digital two way. The UBCD396XT is capable of receiving both analog and non encrypted Phase 1 P25 transmissions. Assuming the the refuellers are using either analog or non encyrpted Phase 1 P25, you will hear them on the scanner.

No scanner is capable of receiving TRBO/TDMA digital at the moment and for the forseeable future. And while Phase 2 P25 is TDMA, it is not the same as TRBO/TDMA. While they are using the same platform, they are not interchangable.

Ok, I'm given DSD a run, and having some luck but not fully decoding the transmissions.

493.525 and 498.725 I believe are 1 channel (With the first being the repeater output)
494.050 and 498.250 being channel 2 (With being the output).

Now to just decode it..
