New Guy Here From Rockingham

Post by Scannerjosh »

Hey guys, first off i would like to say i love the site, it has been very helpful and i've always wanted to buy a scanner of my own. Well i did get around to purchasing myself one yesterday and i think i had some pretty good luck, for though's of you interested i bought myself an Uniden UBC355XLT i thought it had a pretty good range, nice and small etc.. but anyway..

I live in Rockingham and i google'd the hell out of known frequencies got some either by searching or just scanning but here's what i come up with

470.375
473.800 - Rockingham Bus Depot ??
472.800
462.600
465.175
462.600
487.900
470.675
474.150
485.950
470.800
489.075
418.325 - Transperth Security ??
419.200
465.425
490.450
467.350
488.800
489.750
473.375
419.200
416.425
464.075 - Was Voice Early Morning of the 11th Nov Sounds Encrypted or High rate Data Now ??
416.125
476.825
416.625
479.350
418.250 - Transperth Security ??
465.000 - I think Transperth Maintenance
467.675
476.800 - UHF CB16 But interestingly Liquid Nightclub Security/Staff are on this Channel
78.350
18.893

Anyone got the Freq for the Mandurah Line Controller and the Transperth Security Patrol (all i know is they are contracted from Wilson Security) ??

Sorry i don't have descriptions for all of them but i was so excited yesterday to have got so many i just programmed them in and kept going. I hope to organise them better later with desciptions but any help would be awesome, Also sorry if i doubled up my bad.

So next Question what else should i be able to hear living in Rockingham, i searched the ACMA Website but I'm not too sure what i should be able to hear in Rockingham noting the propagation of RF any tips

Thanks Guys

Welcome to the forum! :) This is my first post on here also.

I've often looked at the Uniden UBC355XLT and been tempted. I hope you enjoy using it for a long time to come.

Unfortunately, I don't have any information at hand to help you with what you could hear around Rockinham.

Howdy Scannerjosh!

I live in Rockingham too and have a Uniden UBC93XLT. You'll be able to easily pick up Transperth and FESA:
  • 418.300 - Transperth Train Stations
  • 164.000- FESA
Also was able to pick up SES units that were down here during the storm damage but I can't seem to pick them up anymore...
