I don't think my Uniden 245XLT can pick it up.. but I might be wrong.
I think Gav's 396 can though.
Yeah. It gives the talk group IDs etc but the Burswood system is a bit strange - all conversations seem to occur on channel 1 and they seem to have over a dozen talkgroups!

(Have to learn more about LTR trunking...)

Anyone have success trunking the 865MHz Motorola stuff from the city? I'm tracking the Perth airport, Justice, Memo and Motorola Central Park systems ok. Need to get a good antenna though... got nothing here that's any good at 865MHz :(

hi just pulled out my ubct8 as its been packed away for a bit and tried to listen the ministry of justice and found no activity on 856.5625/866.5625/867.5625/868.5625/869.5625 as it was very busy before and just seeing if anybody knows what happened to them freq change or system change any info would be nice cheers.

LIstening now, I cant hear anything either. Maybe they've upgraded it. Last time I listened in was 1-3 years ago.

Suggest you check the frequency assignments in the ACMA dB.

Appears to be registered to the ACMA for some reason now: http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/assig ... ID=2241487

That's a Link, and has nothing to do with Trunked Radio.

FWIW. The OPs first frequency should have been 865.5625, NOT 856.5625 MHz.

Motorola announced some time ago that they no longer support SmartNet, and have decommissioned all their 800 MHz Smartnet systems in the Eastern States.

Although not owned by Motorola, without ongoing support, it is only a matter of time before the Justice system, and similar systems, also face decommissioning.

Motorola Zeon Digital Network, which is TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked RAdio), Emission Designator 25K0D7W, although the old Analogue emission designators still show against the frequencies on the ACMA Database.

Hi all,

I have been informed that TETRA is active at Perth Airport, WAC seems to be the only client at the moment, but Im sure others will follow soon, upgrading from the Analogue Trunking System.

Any details would be great.
