South west control

G'day all,

Just wondering if anyone knows the frequency of the southwest control (Railways)? I do have a frequency for it, its: 169.240, but when entered its says 169.2375. Does anyone know what’s the frequency of Picton control aswell please?

From memory you are pretty spot on with that 169.xxxx frequency, It's been a number of years since i've listened to Picton control but that does sound about right.

I used to always hear them shunting the trains and lining them up... you'll hear "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1......STOP"

Sometimes you'll also get a bonus "SHIT!, STOP!" added in at the end :)

There's also a Giacci base in Picton which I think is somwhere around 161.000 from memory.

SW and Picton Control are already in the sticky. Those 168 frequencies were phased out a couple of years ago.

I still have a few of those numbers in my scanner and sometimes i do pick up stuff not sure what it is because its very faint.
