Drive down steps ends badly for security officer
13/Jun/2011
By Denise Sharon Cahill, Western Suburbs Weekly
A TRANSPERTH security officer was left red-faced in Mandurah at the weekend when he attempted to drive a patrol car down steps beside the Brighton Hotel.
The driver and his colleague made a quick exit from the vehicle when it became lodged on the steps.
While waiting for a tow truck to arrive, onlookers “planked” on the bonnet and snapped pictures, much to the embarrassment of the officers.
The bottom of the car and the steps were damaged as the tow truck lifted the car away.

Beg's the question, why were they driving on the footpath anyway?
I've closed the door!

On a side note (although that looks like a Hyundai), T5 is now a Holden Cruze so maybe they are changing to them now.
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

The officers definitely will have some explaining to do back at the office.
Transperth Security seem to use a variety of cars - Hyundai Sonata, Holden Epica, Holden Cruze, Toyota Camry. That's what I've seen so far.
