Rail Frequencies.

I note that there does not seem to have been any updated information provided for some time.

Can anyone advise if there have been any significant changes to the information previously provided in the recent past ?

Which company? Path or Swan or?

And how would i go about saving the particular Frequencies.

Your going to have to elaborate on that, save to what? Your scanner?

The 2 missing channels would be the Circle Route and generic emergency channel.

Their channel layout (by depot/usage) are:

1. Emergency
2. Southern River
3. Canning Vale/Beckenham
4. Circle Route (also used by Path and Southern Coast)
6. Midvale/Ellenbrook
7. Mundaring
8. Kalamunda
10. Shenton Park/North Fremantle
11. Welshpool (was Redcliffe)

Ch's 6 & 7 are co-linked but am not sure if they are separate frequencies or not, but are 2 separate channels none the less.

Can I confirm from the first page that the Circle Route is 472.750?

As recently asked by Doug about the numbering of the East West trains, EG 1PA8

Decoded information

1st number is the day it leaves
1 = Sunday, 2 = Monday, 3 = Wednesday ect

1st Letter is Departure point
2nd Letter is Arrival Point

A = Adelaide
B = Brisbane
C = Coolamon/Cootamundra
D = Darwin or Dimboola
E = Cobar
G = Goobang Jcn (Parkes)
H = Broken Hill
J = Junee
K = Kalgoorlie
L = Alice Springs
M = Melbourne
N = Newcastle
P = Perth
Q = Medway Quarry
R = Grafton
S = Sydney
T = Tennant Creek or Taree (was previously McIntyre Loop)
U = Narrabri/Moree
V = Moss Vale/Berrima
W = Wollongong/Pt Kembla
X = Pt Augusta
Y = Whyalla

2nd Number used to be the sequence in which it left on the day, eg 1st train on Sunday to Melbourne from Perth would be 1PM1, and then the 2nd train would be 1PM2

However the 2nd number now relates to the operators and type of train

2 = Steel train
5/6 = Intermodal
7 = Express, can do 115 km/h instead of 110 km/h
8 = GSR trains, Indian Pacific, Ghan, Overland
9 = SCT

Example Indian Pacific leaving Perth on Sunday is 1PA8 (the Indian Pacific then renumbers and becomes 3AS8 when it departs Adelaide on Tuesday for Sydney)
NR Intermodal leaving Perth for Melbourne on Tuesday is 2PM5

Hi everyone,

For those interested. As of today the PATH Transit Karrinyup and Joondalup depot channel is no longer in use (490.900) due to contract changes. I've found the new frequency for Karrinyup depot which is now 470.375 although it has terrible reception compared to there previous channel. Although i'm yet to locate the Joondalup, Wangara and Nowergup depot channel which are now operated by Veolia Transport Perth, If anyone has found the new frequency for them i'm dying to know .
