Mandurah train announcing wrong stations

So I was coming home from Murdoch University and I got on the train from Murdoch Station.
When the train arrived at the next station (Cockburn Central), to my surprise the automated voice and tickering display said "This is Murdoch". This continued on from station to station. The voice was announcing the stations one station before the right one. A lot of the commuters were either mocking it or became confused.
When I got off at my destination at Rockingham, you hear it saying "This is Wellard". Deceiving! Certainly woke me up.

I really love the automated voice, when I was over there I was glad it said the right stations or i'd get a lil confused. Knowing that the voice was out of syncro shows that there is no electrical device that tells the train what station they're at, instead it probably just has information in a computer that actives whenever the train stops. Perhaps the train stopped before a station and got out of order. I have heard people take their lives by jumping infront of trains too?

The driver just pushes a button to make it announce and it plays the next message 'on the tape'. If the button gets pushed twice it will be out of whack. Doors closing.

A 2-car "A" set that I'm on at the moment seems to be getting a bit ahead of itself, all the station announcements are for the one following the next
