Who is she trying to fool??Planning and Infrastructure Minister Alannah MacTiernan has denied the shortage is threatening public safety, but says the new officers will help to ensure there is a high staff presence on services.

Car Park attendants are CSAsGC101 wrote:so much for the plan to have a transit guard on every train all day every day as promised at the election haha. well that was never going to happen, what i find strange is they had chubb then dumped them because the transit guards were expanding, then they re hired some to guard the new fare gates, now they will be back on the trains. also at stations the customer service people now check tickets some times. so on the train system we have CSA's, carpark attendants, chubb guards, transit guard, and police rail unit... 5 different groups involved in fare collection and or security related work...... why not just have a group that does all revenenue protection, security and customer serivce backed up by police rail unit, to save the confusion of all the different groups. they certainly need some ticket checks on trains a couple of years ago about 50% of my trips i was checked, now i havent got checked on a train and only have seen one guard on a train.
