I've wandered through it once, the day after it opened. I caught the train into the city for my work's Christmas lunch. Got off the Midland train, went down into the new tunnel and saw daylight again coming out of Raine Square. I was pretty impressed with that!

Yeah. Going from Platform 9 to the underground station does not mean going up, down, down and down again anymore. Just down, down (Transit times are down!)
