Dazla ,are you on a mission to dengrate only ? you seem to have a very weird agenda.
The CEO of Secureforce has been appointed to the Public Transport Safety Committe by the Asst. Commisioner of Police ,he has also been appointed to the Weapons Training working party by the Police Dept with the licensing section (I think its called commercialagents group or similar)

To the subject at hand, again, in EVERY State of Australia & in the United Kingdom on all Public Transport systems there is a mixture of Security Contractors with powers(Secureforce here), Govt employees (Transit Guards here) & Police This is an International PROVEN system & it is for 2 main reasons ,Lack of manpower & Budget. For Instance here in WA the Buses carry over 62% of passengers & have a security team of about 40 Officers where Rail carries 37% of passengers & has about 200 Officers .Interesting???

Im sure they have some good officers who do their best....unfortunalty I have had some bad experiances with Mr Ryan and some of his crew.

The fact that a private security company has the contract does not realy bother me at all........I think Transits should do it but that is my opinion.

I will just say that after I...yes ME.....not someone I know or a friend who knows someone who works somewhere........nearly arrested an officer who was wearing a black uniform with a gold badge on his chest for obstruction, this left a bad taste in my mouth.

I nearly won Lotto last week ,but didn't , so I guess NEARLY anything doesn't amount too much does it ? & who cares ??
this is about reponsible scanning & questions that arise that are pertinent & there is always curiosity about powers vested to Security Personnel , but that shouldn't turn into a personal agenda of denigration , if you have a problem with this guy why don't you go see him & sort it out , I am sure that it would be easy to discuss anything with someone as high profile as him .
He isn't exactly hidden away is he ??

When my sister was at Uni last year ,she needed to see him for a paper they were doing on Private Security & got into see him the same week she rang the office. Why don't you try it & you may be able to dispose of the chip on your shoulder.

Cooler,

Set the brakes on here - :!:

I think your contribution to this site is more to target what we say rather than putting up your ideas about Scanning in General??

Is there nothing positive that you can contribute? We are all a great bunch of people here, and if something you find is wrong with a post - then a PM would be nice to go to that person to let them know.

I'm not after a fight or making enemies - I'm just trying to voice my concern.

I have , if you go to the freq questions about Securforce north & south freqs & uses , I have been able to clarify some of the questions about their radio use & further to that info , the Secureforce freqs use the repeater at Spearwood for their South & the repeater at Osbourne Park for their North & all their Duplex freqs & licenses are in another company name that they are connected with.

I appreciate your concern , I also have concerns when generalities get focused onto personal attacks that are not defended ,I have tried to put up a balanced view , but , enough said , the brakes are on.

Next time I want to know how to piss people off I will go see mr Ryan for you ok. Im sure he is a good bloke, may even pop in for a beer with the fella to talk about the NYPD.

Your example of lotto is also prettty lame......cant you think of a better one.

I warned the guy and he stepped aside and let me onto a bus at Wellington St to arrest a perp.....had he not moved from infront of me then I would have arrested him and the perp.......simple really.

And what has that got to do with the price of eggs?.........its quite normal for Transits to make a bust and for the PTU to take credit for it.
