Hi,
Could someone point me in the right direction of the fines available to be issued under the Transit Officer / Customer Service?
I've visited the Transperth Website and found the common use, but does anyone else have a complete list available?
The only reason I ask is today I witnessed a CSO telling a guy off for holding the doors open while his partner entered the train and heard him say that it is a $200 fine for doing so.
Can someone push me in the right direction, or tell me which fine this would come under?
Thanks,
WF

PTA Regulations 7(b) Interfere with a mechanism or device on conveyance = $200 fine

Thanks, would this only be enforced by Transit Officers, or does the CSO have powers?observer wrote:PTA Regulations 7(b) Interfere with a mechanism or device on conveyance = $200 fine

Re: Transperth Transit Officers / CSO Powers & Infrigements
It would depend on wether the CSO has been gazetted as an 'Authorised Officer/Person' under that Act. The only way to tell would be to find out their name and search the Government Gazette...

Does the act specify that the appointment has to be Gazetted though? Most act's you dont need to be - you just need a signed appointment by the relevant person (CEO etc).holden5541 wrote:It would depend on wether the CSO has been gazetted as an 'Authorised Officer/Person' under that Act. They're "Authorised Persons" as signed off by the CEO.
