mast heights
Hey there all, im after some info on how high, i can go with my mast before i need a perment.does anyone know??

safest bet is to speak to your local council. i'm not sure of the specific figures, although im sure there are

My guess would be that it's different in every city/shire. Check with your council. Just a word of advice, councils don't like antennas full stop, so be prepared to be patient and only ask the questions you want answers for

Yes. It varies a lot from council to council. Also if you are living in a strata title you need to check with the strata manager (usually they won't let you put up anything). Our shire allows any mast and antenna height that is the same distance it will be from the nearest fence... the idea being if it falls down no part of it will land in the neighbour's yard.

I believe Wanneroo is one of the mast/antenna-unfriendly councils... from what I'd heard anyway?

"' if i were you'" i would just put up a telescopic mast, if the council complain, lower it.
