Emergency channel A

Just listening to a major gas leak in Kwinnana and they changed to emergency channel A they have new radio's installed and i cant find itdoes anybody have info on it

the only emergency channel on the police that I know of is ch 23(Freo area) or ch26(Perth area)Never heard of channel A.

It could be the new statewide emergency UHF simplex channel that's common to the three main emergency services. I think it's at around 458Mhz. The exact freq is on the FESA site somewhere :-)

Maybe 519.625/519.900 ? These are the FESA UHF fireground channels.

its not that new. its been in the standard FESA UHF programming for a while (SES, FRS fireground etc) - Displays on the TAIT radios as ESA and ESB.

From Gavs post in January:

Frequency A: 458.025Mhz
Frequency B: 458.075Mhz

Yea it was the police not FRS using it

To be more correct, only Fire & Rescue Service and SES as far as FESA is concerned. And even then, I'm not sure what the deal is with FRS UHF radios in vollie brigades ?

The only UHF radios we have out here are UHF CBs.

These channels can be used by the FRS and SES. They are simplex channels.

Ch A 458.025 Ch B 458.075

I think WA Ambulance also use 458.050MHz as a simplex channel
