Has anyone got or is using a computer driven Shortwave reciever, I just need feed back, if they are any good.

I have a WinRadio. Not 'short wave' per se - Mine does 500kHz to 1.3GHz. To do anything interesting, you need to purchase add-on software to process digital, DTMF and other encoding. If you want to just listen to voice or cw then it does the job well. Probably overkill for just shortwave listening. They are pricy... the base model is around $800 last time I looked. You might be better off with an off-the-shelf radio that has a serial port.
