Atmospheric conditions to pick up distant frequencies.

Post by FG103 »

Hey guys,

Was hoping someone could give me the run down on atmospheric conditons when picking up distant frequencies ie what conditions to look for in the weather forecast, clouds etc etc.

Pretty much what condtions are going to be the best to pickup Perth channels here in Gero.

Thanks in advance.

use the search function because i remember if some of the posts in scanners and recievers there was something about it.. how cloudy conditions bounce the waves and such. in search type weather clouds and click on find all words.. ill have a look too.

I don't understand exactly how it works. A key word to search for here and on the net would be tropospheric inversion.
