i saw an ambulance this morning which kept blasting its flashing lights on and off with clear way of traffic any reason why they would do this

Prolly one of the newer ambulances with the ambicad. All the vehicles electronics run threw it - so if its playing up lights tend to flash on and off randomly! Can be embarrasing when you cant turn of your lights + sirens outside your pts house Not that i'd know or anything .. .
