Guys, how can i find out which SJA frequency is for which suburb as per the Sticky Pages - i know theres a whole stack of frequencies, just wanting to know if any of them relate specifically to a suburb or district.

Nope, as we've discussed before, the ambos have one big channel that covers all of Perth that are on different frequencies. You just have to scan all of them until you find one that's strongest for your area.

Hey George, if you have the band search function, then press SLCT button, then put in lower ambulance band followed by E (enter), then the upper ambulance band followed by E (enter) again, then press SRCH, with a pen and paper handy, write down the frequencies it stops on and how good it is, and then when you want to get out of it, just press MANUAL again and your back to your normal channels. What i mean by upper band is a bit pass the largest ambo frequency and for the lower, a bit lower than the lowest ambo frequency. Hope that helps

You should do. Most scanners have a band search function. What scanner do you have?

The BC60XLT? If so, then no it can't do a band search. You'll have to program each of the 10 channels with a different SJA voice frequency, hit scan and wait to see what channels are the strongest. A pain but it'll work

No, nothing documented that I am aware of. I tend to drive to whatever road conditions are around me. I often reach 100km in a 60 zone, when there is little or no traffic. On other occasions, I can only travel 70. It is not necessarily about the speed you travel, more about keeping moving and making headway.
