Yeah I saw that too...probably really hard to land flat, admittedly the boat was rather crowded with all the gizmo's attatched, and sometimes no matter how much training you do, you'll slip up, or stumble, we've all been walking for however long, but occasionally you stumble. I was more curious about why the escort unclipped and didn't go up with the casualty, I know this is certainly the case for cliff rescues, but that is probably more so that the stretcher doesn't drag up/down the cliff. But still having someone there talking to you and reassuring you, can lift the persons confidence.

If stupidity got me into this mess, why can't it get me out.
Yer thats what i thought as well and to help stabilise the basket hence why you go up with the patient, is there 1 flight paramedic or 2 each time it goes out does anyone know, watching careflight and air495 do rescues never seen them winch a patitn up on its own maybe there was a reason for it.
Systems must be down alot of P1 and P2 outstanding dishing the calls out manually.
I will say the comms officer dishing out the jobs did very well i had a slight giggle when she said "anyone available for a priority 2, anyone available for a priority 1" was about 20mins before they got a crew for the mount helena job.
Strange enough that jobhs in the rocko area seemed to be dished out by phone yet all the others where dished out over the air....
I have to say poor form by two rocks or maybe lack of communication between them and belmont, a few times this week the two rocks depot was selcalled stating "two rocks if you have a crew there" and then would say what priority.
Last night i heard landsdale 1 and 2 are there usually 2 crews at landsdale ? or making up for lack of volunteers.
