Will AMS apply for the RFDS tender through gems if and when it comes up ?

Some hot eastern states competition will have a very avid interest in this.

The ALAS website is down

Spotted AMS ambo going down wellignton street today under P1 conditions. Wasnt quick enough to snap a pic.

Just wondering why on the new website it says they have been operating since 1994 yet only registered this year.

Just wondering if anyone knows how they can be RFDS and WACHS approved ?

must have been some time ago. rumour has it that AMS has been shafted by some very recently departed staff inclusive of some ex sja ALAS, ? paras/vollies and hostile are having to supply their own IPs to fill positions so go figure, and at the end of it all its the patient that misses out. Over the last week ive seen and experienced some very sad events in which Di@# heads are more interested in staying and playing instead of treating enroute to the nearest hospital which was literally 60 seconds away. I challenge this piss poor government to make prehospital registration compulsory in this state and regulate the cowboys/girls that are still out there :(

These services are recognised by the WA Country Health Service and Private Medical Insurance providers.

Quoted from the website, private medical is here nor there though canon but the first one is off questionable interest.

Have a complaint contact operations manager at AMS they should have a complaint resolution process.

FYI: W.A Country Health is reviewing tendering services for RFDS and Transfer services otherwise nothing will be touched regardless.

Havent heard much about medic1 or seen them around in along time just keeping quiet i guess.

I did see posted on another ambo website under the "news heading tonight though"

* Pics of our new 315 Sprinters coming soon

* Local Ambulance Provider Collapses

ALAS (Advance Life Ambulance Service) was wound up in July 2008 and has been placed into receivership after being in operation since 1995.

ALAS was under new ownership at the time the company went into receivership, the original founder off the company lead the change in W.A with ambulance care it was his dream for many years and faught an uphill battle to continue his dream he passed not to long ago after a long illness.

Hey maybe you should write to the RTO body if there is a problem or call hostile1 or ams and have a chat to them sometimes its better coming from the horses mouth rather than chinese whispers.

You probarly got burnt by ALAS but hey **** happens you should know better by now that money talks if you cant walk the walk ;)

Saw the ford ranger leaving rfds this morning anyways with patient onboard.
