Ambulance Emergency Driving

A example of poor hazard identification and assuming drivers will react. The individual driving the Ambulance would be up for the insurance in this case.

A example of failure to drive Ambulance to road / climate conditions.

A example of not knowing your Ambulances dimensions / limitations.

If anyone has a copy of the Emergency Driving Regulations & Rules please post them up on the forum.

ON THE CHANNEL 10 news tonight NSW ambo service are using an automatic compression device for cpr. You tie it down to the stretcher place it over the patients chest turn it on and it delivers the compressions automatically. Apprantley in the states has increased survival rate by 80% didnt even say what it was called which sucks :(

Yeah and how long would they last, thats a good question. Hence why they are trialling in VIC. How much do you think each unit costs.

Zoll Autopulse. CPR Device. cost $24,200.00 AUD.

I could see this being implemented in a Critical Care Ambulance. However once more units are sold I'm sure the price will come down in line with demand. However you wouldn't want to drop one of these down the stairs , you might need CPR afterwoods over the replacement cost  :smt120
