Looks like VH-EWA is on its way back here now - nachoman's link ( http://flightaware.com/live/flight/VHEWA ) shows it crossed the Nullarbor and is back in WA as of a few hours ago.

does anyone have any idea when the RAC chopper is back online? haven't seen or heard anything from them lately.

The "RAC chopper" (Rescue 65) hasn't been offline. Whilst the yellow helicopter (VH-EWA) has been in Queensland for maintenance/service, another helicopter has been filling the Rescue 65 role. I have heard it many times on 6AR over the past weeks, and it has been shown on several TV news reports recently.

yea I know that these is a fill in I was just wondering where the RAC chopper has been that's all =)

Just watched the big yellow version of Rescue 65 (VH-EWA) on approach in to RPH. I therefore presume she is back in operation.

AN UPGRADE of Royal Perth Hospital’s helipad has been deemed “critically urgent” but the Barnett Government has failed to include it in this year’s health budget.
