rescue 65 just flew over the quinns rocks area heading back to perth anyone know what he was upto?

I heard on the radio news this afternoon that there had been a MVA on Indian ocean Drive just south of jurian involving a car & caravan. It might have been attending that.

Can anyone explain the Rescue 65 Callsign I know the 6 is for the Region but unsure on the 5 Ive been asked by someone and was unable to answer fully.

I wasnt sure where to post this so put it here.

I'm only guessing, but despite being a separate arm of the emergency services to the Police, it may have been designated R65 to eliminate confusion with the Police aircraft Polair 61, 62, 63 etc. :?:

Well, Rescue 65 flew over :wink: , it flew to Jurien Bay at 5:30pm for a traffic accident. I also saw it fly overhead on the return. One thing about Rescue 65 is you can hear it approaching long before you see it. An unmistakeable sound.

You can also hear RPH hospital clearing the landing pad for Rescue 65 on 462.900.If it hasn't already been mentioned before.
