Today I seen an Ambulance with clear LED top beacons (Amb#163) is this the new style what's coming out? As before they used Red, White, Blue LED beacons.

I had a chat to one of the ambos the other day at work (RPH) and he said that SJA are trialing them and hopefully getting rid of all the old ones. Apparently they've been having HEAPS of problems with drivers not getting out of the way...

They dont have the wigwag headlights anymore apparently thats not helping much either.

The new (clear) LED lightbars are alot brighter and larger. He said they are doing the trick... more people giving way.

It is a requirement for some Industrial Mine Site vehicles to have clear lenses with the orange colour only being visible when the bar is on.

The clear LED Light Bars are as a result of the manufacturer standardising on clear lenses for all their bars.
