cant take hbf unless P1 and for a pensioner they would be referred to SJA.
this is something that ALAS did do correctly in that if there was a time delay, they would either be referred to sja or sja would be contacted on their behalf, and still respond incase required for assistance. I dont know about now though.

Thats interesting to hear that HBF pay up for P1 work by a private operator i wonder if its offical or unoffical by HBF though. I know about 2003 an investigating body looked into it trying to see if it was something that should go to the "accc" for unfair competition.
At least going to check on the patient is the right thing to do regardless if they would get paid or not.

yeah what was also funny is that hbf wouldnt cover the full sja bill for a transport hence the 50 dollar excess wheras with ALAS there was no excess because they only charged the exact amount that hbf covered LOL. So who had patient satisfaction in mind then lol.Markmywords wrote:Thats interesting to hear that HBF pay up for P1 work by a private operator i wonder if its offical or unoffical by HBF though. i also recall hearing a story from a dear old duck of her ordeal when she had broken her ribs. Over the process of the day she had a total of 6 transfers between the nursing home ,doctors surgery and hospital, and copped a bill for over 300 dollars remembering that it was a 50 dollar excess per trip each way.PFO wrote:yeah what was also funny is that hbf wouldnt cover the full sja bill for a transport hence the 50 dollar excess wheras with ALAS there was no excess because they only charged the exact amount that hbf covered LOL. Ouch
I dont get the gap cap cover though $50.00 when your fund is meant to cover all ambulance costs, it kinda comes across as the HBF ambulance fund runs at a loss.
SJA have also put there prices up going by there website.
P1 & P2 are the same (wonder if hbf will increase that gap cover now)
P3 & Patient transport are slightly less.

Both hbf and now medibank private have excesses, and many of the others only cover so many calls per year.Markmywords wrote:Ouch

How about mvit i have a good friend who has now crashed his motorbike on a state road in wa on 2 occasions and both times he copped full billing from sja.
Accident wasnt his fault on both occasions so why did he have to pay? Shouldnt mvit cover this ?
Close friends son committed suicide and although there was nil transport provided, the parents copped full billing a week after his death

FOR THE SERVICE OF HUMANITY, SALUS PATIENTUS PREFERENDUS
MMW hit the nail on the head with FOR THE SERVICE OF OUR BOARDROOM
Perhaps another one to add could be PAYUS NOWUS MAXIMUS

MVIT (or state government insurance commision) have a $427 ambulance transport fee capped to hospital. I think that has now been increased.
They now do not pay for non transport (firstly private services were hit and now i believe sja as well) maybe thats why they bill them for non transport.
And the other reason behind it is that only SJA Ambulances should be attending MVA's through 000 and that tow truck drivers calling private services was illegal (based on them using the scanner to find the accident)
No transport no money money in the bank

Yes he wouldve paid twice !!!
Lets talk about double dipping.
Ive heard some patient transports they have billed the customer AND the sending hospital with the customer paying the gap cover, i wonder who does the auditing !!!!
So whats the max cap HBF pay for P1 call outs without the excess on top.
Hate to see the bills for rescue65 go out

Still wanting to know if anyone wants to work for me. I pay $20 a job for green newbies, post 10 ride alongs. (stupid people may require more ride alongs). Cowboys are not only encouraged, but commended on money saving ways, of increasing the bottom line so I can become filthy rich. We will not be servicing vehicles to ensure the profit margins are high. I may offer full time employment, but that could be revoked at any time. The same applies for hourly pay. If I need extra coin, I intend to put everyone back on a per job basis. I will dangle carrots infront of good staff to kepp them as long as I can, but once they go, I will know I squeezed all I can from them. I will not be training staff, so piss off and get your diploma elsewhere then come and see me. I will not be furthering education as I would rather pull teeth, another favorite past time of mine. Anyone who has an issue can tell me, which I will them base my own opinions on the matter and this will end in someone being given a promotion for telling lies out of school

Cowboy hats are optional, but boots with spurs are required as part of the everyday uniform. You supply your pants (stubbies, green in colour of course) as there are fat bastards out there. Shirts will be a fluro green tank top. Each person shall refer to there partner of the day as CHOP.Markmywords wrote:Count me in haha do i get a cowboy hat ? and is a uniform provided ?
Will you let me subcontract if i can under cut you and eventually steal the work ?
If you steal work, I will be forced to give you the employee of the month award.

Ranking will be awarded not by length of time served or by qualifications but by how many stains are on your clothes from human forms of exctretion.
By the way Im terrible at paperwork so you may not get paid super.
LOL:
