Oh people were crying, the band started playing <when the saints go marching in> to cheer them up and my offsider dropped the zoll as we were going down steps haha

Ambulance Emergency Driving

ON THE CHANNEL 10 news tonight NSW ambo service are using an automatic compression device for cpr. You tie it down to the stretcher place it over the patients chest turn it on and it delivers the compressions automatically. Apprantley in the states has increased survival rate by 80% didnt even say what it was called which sucks :(

yer it does the same thing but wasnt a zoll brand on tv :S the only thing i think would suck is the set up while doing the resus

Yeah and how long would they last, thats a good question. Hence why they are trialling in VIC. How much do you think each unit costs.

Zoll Autopulse. CPR Device. cost $24,200.00 AUD.

I could see this being implemented in a Critical Care Ambulance. However once more units are sold I'm sure the price will come down in line with demand. However you wouldn't want to drop one of these down the stairs , you might need CPR afterwoods over the replacement cost :shock: :smt120
