yeah thats what I thought, they did presumeably to freak the patient out less but when I came out they weren't to be seen unless they'd gone into a car park.

Well that would make it a definate Priority 1 then as:

dead = cardiac arrest until presumtion of death by police, ambo and the like or certyified deceased by medical practitioner.....

Sounds like it would fit perfectly to the team leader in Perth I know :P Thats a bit iffy hey MMW, they apparently used to do it here when the call was a P1, we at least wear a vest or jumper on calls now. HQ prefer full uniform, but when a life is at stake, I guess you just get there asap. Would be better if they had some kind of ID tho, a vest is usually preferable to identify yourself as an A/O.

Schism_ true some form of ID at a scene is better than none (vest/jumper/pants etc), i mean it could be anyone turning up haha but as you said when every minute counts :p

there has to be an element of professionalism though. vollies can get overalls, i doubt that they would take too long to put on.

And anyway, lake clifton thats about as far for mandurah to travel as a volly crew from waroona on a P1, would like to think that if i crashed there i would get professional care!!!

And the legal issues - say someone assults an ambo not in uniform - they would have a defence saying that they were not in uniform I though they were going to attack me, rob my home!

kinda reminds me of the blue cop like ambo uniform. but the green does make a better discount suit. make sure u do all the 'big' purcahses while on duty, 2 green uniforms and an ambulance parked outside = $$$$$$ OFF

Ambul8: Thats what i thought mandurah wouldve been quicker and if the mandurah crew wasnt in even pinjarra wouldve been quicker the T/A was about half way between the 30/20 klm marker to mandurah.

Speaking of uniforms i'll have to find the site but there is an american ambulance service that have a spitting image of the SJA uniform here i couldnt tell the difference (well apart from the badges)
