Technology is certainly changing the industry. Take a look at the

Auto Stretcher a clever design I wonder how fail safe it is. Good to see the industry is looking into safer practices with the aid of technology.

Stretchers

I have noticed a newer model stretcher being used by the mainstream service the Ferno 50 easy loader while visiting a nurse at Charles. I was taught how to use a older model Ferno Washington stretcher [the non hydraulic one] while on the job in a service however have not been fortunate enough to try out this new series.

It would be great if anyone has a safe operation and lifting guide, common mistakes, warnings for the Ferno 50 easy loader & prior in service series if you could post it up on the forum. This would make a great addition to this thread.

The ferno website should have some info for you, $10,000 + for it.

Alot of UK services have automatic stretcher loaders, would save the back !!!!
