What was the purpose of the long beep for P1 calls? I would have thought that after the vehicle's radio had been Selcalled by 6DS it would be going nutso alreadyIrish wrote: there is not the facility to 'beep uot' P#1 calls..
should now improve clarity..

A priority 1 alert is a high pitch tone to get the attention of the the vehicles which are out and about. Vehicles don't actually get selcalled unless there at an ED and not answering there mobile.vk6hgr wrote:What was the purpose of the long beep for P1 calls? The new tone will no doubt be changed as its a low softer tone and many crews aren't hearing it in a noisey vehicle. I think sorting through the clarity and other teething issues will be the first point of call.
