I dont know what kyle was talking about if an ambulance was in an accident i doubt the officers would go to court well unless who ever was wheeling was negligent and seriously injured or killed another driver/person.

Not common practice but yes I agree both QE2 and RPH still do this every now and then. What I'm saying is most of the hospital staff agree its not required and certainly all the paramedics and police agree its not required but when the request is made its easier to go along with rather than rock the boat.PFO wrote: And yes by the way it is also common practice for RPH to do the same when transferring the same kind of PT to Shenton Park. You are right in that no we dont need that from the scene of an accident unless instructed to do so by a higher power.

i think you should stop there kyle or your going to get ALAS into trouble lol. Paramedics cannot do that only police.Kyle wrote:He Ive been in a Ambulance doing observing when a rapid response automobile provided a escort. You know how Rockingham and Mandurah traffic gets in the arvo its bumper to bumper all the way down in the peak hour.
I remember one time when we had a AAA patient and Para was in the back. I was allowed to driver very very slow P1. However we roundevued with a Paramedic as we couldn't afford any bumps and they new the smoothest route to hospital better then I did.

be gentle with kyle he is only a newbie.ZO100_marto wrote:Driving a slow P1 for a AAA holy sh#t.... check with most paramedics and that would be a bloody fast P1 - especially if confirmed! If they don't get to surg in time is straight to the cool room everytime
still has alot to learn. If it was ruptured, unlikely that there would have been any need to transport lol and a call to the coroner may be required lol. No offence kyle
