All VFAS units at the Rally both Gloucester Park and Langley - Are using Ambulance Channel 96 - which includes the portables - and Channel 6 to communicate with Command Post aka - 6DS - (not the Paramedic 6DS)

It's good that there are a couple of common frequencies that different agencies can use to communicate with each other but I'm curious to know if they are all called "A and B" by all the different agencies, or if they all refer to them slightly differently.WPXZBP wrote:They are called Emergency Channel A and B.
Anyone know?

According to the FESA document, that's what they're called - emergency channel A and B.Zebedee wrote: It's good that there are a couple of common frequencies that different agencies can use to communicate with each other but I'm curious to know if they are all called "A and B" by all the different agencies, or if they all refer to them slightly differently.
If I were planning a system like that I'd have channel C and D programmed for portable repeater work too <shrug>

Well all the jobs are announced over air, but unless the data system fails, no, you don't hear the job details.slipknot wrote: is that all you will hear of the ambulances? just those priority messages being broadcasted?
