3rd alarm rescue

Post by Leigh »

3rd alarm rescue involving a bus on toodyay rd near noble falls tavern. Four people trapped, 3 critical, rescue 65 en route. Numerous appliances onsite.

2055: Have just been told by a source that rescue 65 has aborted due to fog. Truly hope this isnt correct.

Mundaring, Wundowie and Kalmunda VFRSes have all been turned out to "Traffic accident - rescue bus vs ditch, Toodyay Rd Gidgegannup x Stoneville Rd"

Was upgraded at 20:18 to a fourth alarm then downgraded again at 20:25 to a third alarm, standing down Wundowie. Chaplain advised. Media Liaison advised of a "confirmed 3rd alarm rescue, 38 trapped, school bus. Toodyay Rd Gidgegannup x The Springs Road"

Leigh,

If there is a low cloud ceiling or fog on the ground Rescue 65 will not be able to land at any incident.

Regards

Completly understand helimedic - I work in aviation (rotor).

Was just expressing my dismay at how serious the situation was sounding.

The medics/pilots of rescue 65 do an amazing job to which many west australians owe their lives.
