Third alarm bushfire in Calista / Leda. Wellard Road cross of Gentle Road. Basically between the Kwinana rail terminal and Kwinana golf course.

Control point being set up at the corner of Sloan Drive and Harman Street in Leda.

Bushfire Watch and Act has been issued - fire is moving in a north-easterly direction towards the golf club.

Units I've heard called/paged so far - South Coogee BFB, Baldivis BFB, Belmont ICV, Maddington FRS, Canning Vale FRS, Jandakot BFB, Rockingham FRS, Kwinana VFRS.

There may well be more that I haven't heard mentioned yet...

2nd alarm in Leda is now 3rd alarm.

Leda Control reports fire is moving fast in a northeasterly direction and will impact on Wellard Rd. Hop overs are currently impacting the gas pipeline north of Wellard rd. A S/C reporting houses to be subject to ember attack shortly.

And Hope Valley pump, LT and 3.4. Aircrane and air attacks mobilised.

Edit: I believe the hop overs here were a miscommunication between Air intel and control!

All crews warned of possible wind change to the SW and be aware of the dead man zone. Control advising choppers to use the ocean as there is a shortage of water.

New fire - Ratcliffe Road cross of Thomas Road in Medina / Kwinana Beach. Google Maps shows that to be immediately south of the Kwinana Motorplex. Just been called in as a separate third alarm fire to the Leda one.

Yep - Fire is between Abercrombie and Ratcliffe Roads, north of Thomas Road. Five hectares of heavy bushland burning. Designated "Ratcliffe Control" at this stage.

Also structure fire report via 000 in Leda, just off Gilmore Ave.
