Damn.

1538 Firefighter suffered burns. Perth Airport Control have requested St Johns.

Think I heard FIO was turning out to this one.

A friend of mine who lives near the airport fire just said - "Evacuation orders now reach about 10 blocks away. It's moving south-west"

Fire is now under control, and Helitac's and Air intel have stood down. Video from the ch7 chopper show it is just smoke and lots of mopping up to do.

The fire is now smouldering on the east side of Tonkin highway to the airport boundry. Crews are mopping up, making the area safe and the ALL CLEAR has been issued. Living in the affected area (East Cloverdale) it was a scary time! The fire was about 1.3km away from my house. Had it got any closer I would have ran for the hills!
