Significant bush/scrub fires 2010/2011

This thread is predominantly for third alarm and above bush fires however if it is a significant fire (ie threatening homes and businesses) that is at least second alarm then it will be acceptable. If it's not one of those things then post it in one of the other, more appropriate threads.

Remember also that quoting WILL NOT WORK in this thread.

Please keep the posts to factual information - not rumour, hearsay, possibilities, theories etc. Also keep the information brief and to the point.

Questions about what is going on, who is turning out, why someone isn't turning out etc should be done in the general fire discussions thread.

To kick it off, apparently there is a 3A BUSH FIRE GRT EASTERN HWY WUNDOWIE.

I don't seem to be getting anything on the stream, so no further info.

Hi Guys I was at the wundowie fire It is now safe and DEC crews are monitoring the area.

It is a suspicious fire burnt approx 20 Acres of bush/scrub

Bakers Hill, Inkpen, Clackline, Irishtown, Grass Valley BFB's, Wundowie VFRS and DEC Fire crews

Northam CFM ,DM, and water corp support were on scene.

Big fire in the early hours O'Connor rd Mahogany creek, 10ha burnt
Sawyers Valley LT 1 and 2
Stoneville LT 1 and 2
Glen Forrest LT1 and 2
Parkerville 3.4U and LT
Mt Helena 3.4U and LT
DEC LT, HP, MP
2 earth moving equipment

Kalamunda ICV now operational - Channel 38 Fire Ground - at Pickering Brook.

Kalamunda Chief called it 3rd Alarm incident.

large scrub fire in york.

2 Northam shire 2.4's turned out to assist then got stood down because we were not required enough units on scene.

Still running fire not contained.

Seems like a fire in Kings park. Dalglish 1st reports "88 and going well"

Kings park now classified as 3rd Alarm bushfire. Request for water bombers tuyrned down as resources located in country location. Belmont ICV now mobilsed

Saw what looked like Perth LT and a Perth Pump going fire call up St.Georges Terrace a few moments ago.
