FESA is going to move units (and crews maybe??) around to where they think they are going to be most useful, and I'm assuming it's impractical to tell everyone each time this happens. I'm guessing Wanneroo, rather than Bullsbrook or Quinns Rock or anywhere else where chosen as they can go north to support these areas or back south or east if the need arises. Might also be Wanneroo has more facilities to hold these extra units?

Is it because Wanneroo has a large membership and command structure that would be able crew the extra light tankers with out to much fuss??

Wrong person to ask as I've never been there, but I'm guessing either that or they've got the garage space.

Anywho, seems the weather radar is no longer online.

Considering the number of deliberately lit fires that have been lit, is it prudent to discuss specifics here? FESA obviously don't advertise task forces or strike teams in advance on their website.

Sure, after we have heard the turnout call, document it, but you may find that strike team details may be issued "in confidence".

I don't have an SOP or volunteer "conditions of employment" (or whatever the correct phrase is) to hand, but I'm sure someone with knowledge of such things could fill in the blanks.

This is NOTan alert. Just a heads up for a possible cylcone forming north up on the NW coast tomorrow or thursday and another one following a week after. The first one looks like heading out to sea, but the second looks like tracking down the coast and maybe dumping a fair bit of water in the Perth area around Saturday the 26th. I'll be more confident of it this time next week.
