Apparently this burn was being conducted by FESA's bushfire mitigation mob and got away from them! Word is they were under resourced for the job being undertaken.

Who are these bushfire mitigation people any way?
Where did they come from?

Looks like they could do with some real training on how to burn off.
How could you let a burn off get away especially after what has happen in the past. These people need to have a rocket put up them and hand the job over to people that know what there doing.

i would be careful what you say as im guessing your not a volly!! you clear have no idea what happened so before you start accuseing people of not being trained properly! mitigation are paid and well trained people and have been involed in fesa for many many years they as i have been told do all the burns for govenerment properties during the off season and communication in the fire season.

im sure they took the right path to do this burn it was just one of those things that can happen to anyone (aka dec alway loose control of there burns) so just stop running your mouth u dont have any idea what goes into doin burns or fighting fires for that matter! any volly or frs person on this site can stand up and say yes this stuff happens its just one of those things

....and this is where all this bickering ends!!

Keep on topic people - no flame baiting of any kind is permitted. It doesn't matter who's bloody fault it is, but what DOES matter is our fire crews (both Career and Vollies) did a fantastic job putting the fire out, on what could have been a worse outcome.

STICK on Topic and stick to the FACTS - and not "I heard............"
