Fixed wing Water Bombers

Thought I would start this so we can talk about the planes specifications and things.

In perth they usually opperate Two AT-802s - Bomber 607 and 608, opperated by Dunn Aviation

Based at Jandakot - given priority over all other traffic except medical priority aircraft.

Managed to get these pictures while they where filling

and they were both in Bunbury yesterday. I remember the numbers while filling them. Here a pic I took of two others refueling after we filled them. Over the course of the day the avgas at Bunbury Airport ran out so they were being filled from drums on the truck till the tanker arrived later in the afternoon.

Saw these two fly over Swanbourne during the middle of the day, heading North.

605 and 606 are at Albany Airport. Both are Airtractors.

Bomber's 600 and EOG were in Bunbury on Sunday (As well as the local two) and some from Manjimup/Albany. These were sent to Bunbury to assist with the Harvey/Hoffman fire. I too was filling waterbombers at Bunbury airport before the arrival of the Bunbury SES (and Blinky).

No need to make me separate...just the arrival of Bunbury SES would have done . Mine was only a small contribution as I was only there from 5pm till pack up time.

hey guys

i'm one of the guys that fit the firebombing doors for the fire season and change them back to spray and spreading doors after the fire season and do some of the maintenance on all the ground support vehicles.

FYI the Air Tractors use Jet A1 (Kero)(turbine powered) the PZL M18 Dromaders use Avgas (they are piston powered)

i have a few happy snaps i have taken at work of some air tractors getting fitted with the fore doors and of a couple of 802's over in Jurien Bay when we were doing firebombing training.
