Nafenn observed a couple of helitacs leaving the airport just before this advice was posted, departing towards the north-west... Now we know where they were going :)

the tower at swanbourne could see the smoke/fire, and it was called in by swanbourne foot patrol who could also see the tower so im guessing only a few hundred meters (didnt hear the initial call come in, only bout 30sec in to the conversation onwards as i had the radio down low)

as for the location of the club, im not sure, never been there before. i heard it on the radio on the way to my own club for patrol this arvo, gave surfcom something to do though

I found Swanny Nedlands SLSC with the google so I guess it was North of there in the dunes, possibly very close to the married quarters. Risky spot to be doing that. The dunes would have been crawling with cruisers on a day like today.

Drove past a big crash last night on the way home approx 10:30pm.

Two Cars - completley demolished Traffic Light at Tonkin Hwy and Armadale Rd.

SJA I believe would have left before we drove past, FRS Pump and LT (old Mazda type?) using hose reel for a smouldering vehicle.

Mazda Pump? or the light tanker was really old? could have been a Land Rover Light Tanker.
