there,s a 2nd alarm out west swans area,they have called for heavey tankers from waneroo plus a couple of lt, a 2.4 from east swan i think plus,lt from dec because its in their area,must be somewhere between ellenbrook speedway and waneroo havent caught the exact rd names yet

mmm the wind is blowing the wrong way for it to be from that, we have a S/W here so maybe there is something else about, maybe smoke from down south blowing up.

If the DEC fire is anything decent then I think DEC Wanneroo would be using channel 18 for some of the chitter chatter, so if you have a scanner going at the moment you might be able to listen, not sure what the frequency is for it though and I dont think the trucks have changed over to the new radios yet.

was at kids party down at willeton this morning and when we left at 12.00 ,the whole area was covered in a strong smell of smoke and haze looked to be more smokey from the south be could see no smoke plume of any note. :?: cfm from mundaring just confirmed 15-20 hec of pine and scrub to be on fire at trainor rd,80 % of fire said to be contained by the way of an earthbreak being bulldozed around fire i think this is the fire out west swans area. 2.56pm quinns rock lt and waneroo lt have been released from trainor? rd fire and are heading to another fire

DEC had a fire and some burns down south so the smoke around the merto area (south of waneroo) must have been blown up from those fire then.

Canning Vale has just requested a 4th light tanker.
update - just requested a 2.4... I might start updating on the 3rd alarm thread for now on.

Scrub fire this afternoon at 12pm in Bullcreek. Murdoch firies turned out. the same section of scrub was also set alight on Thursday evening.
People call me an "Egotistic Jackass"... I prefer the term "Confident Donkey" --->Donks for short

Decent fire old dairy court Oakford. Currently Oakford and bedfordale

goomalling(sorry about spelling) had a couple of grass fires going at same time this arvo around 2.40pm heard their light tanker call 6ar,about 10 mins later that beautiful yellow helitak 670 flew straight over the top of the farm i work at in mt helena, and was heading in a north easterly direction,dont know if it was heading to goomalling but it was low flowing and had its snorkle or water suction pipe dangling behind .

as far as I know they are not operational yet until the 15th of december.

i ddi here at least one if not 2 flying around Bakers Hill so I think they were doing training. It didnt have a yellow tail tho.

I just read on another thread there was 2 doing an after service test Flight
