It was actually classified as a Fourth Alarm. As stated by Perth 3rd.

Correct address was 123A St.Georges Terrace, Level 2 - Northern side.

Perth CLP was there, MLO and Fire Safety and another I didn't quite here, could see the smoke billowing from my office.

Alert Summary: A structure fire at the Fremantle Steam Laundry near Emplacement Crescent and Cockburn Road, Hamilton Hill is resulting in potentially dangerous smoke blowing in a northerly direction towards Bellion Drive near Cockburn Road.

A structure fire at the Fremantle Steam Laundry near Emplacement Crescent and Cockburn Road, Hamilton Hill is resulting in potentially dangerous smoke blowing in a northerly direction towards Bellion Drive near Cockburn Road.

RELOCATION POINT
A relocation point has been set up at Memorial Hall on the corner of Carrington Street and Rockingham Road for people on Bellion Drive.

As a precautionary measure, people within a one kilometre radius should remain inside, out of the smoke, with doors and windows closed. Air conditioners should also be switched off.

People are also asked to stay away from the area.

People with medical concerns should contact their local doctor or call Health Direct on 1800 022 222.

ChemCentre and the Department of Environment and Conservation’s (DEC) Pollution Response Unit are conducting air monitoring and analysis.

DEC officers are conducting further tests to determine any environmental impact.

FIRE BEHAVIOUR
The fire is contained but not under control.

The fire has caused significant damage to the factory, estimated to be between $10 and $15 million dollars damage to the factory.

WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING
Twenty five career Fire and Rescue Service firefighters are on the scene along with an Incident Management Team.

They are being supported by WA Police, Western Power and the Water Corporation.

The incident was reported at 4.35am.

ROAD CLOSURES
Emplacement Crescent has been closed and motorists should avoid the area.

If you are in the area take advice from emergency services personnel.

80m x 40m single storey structure fully engulfed... still requesting police and western power... fire is not contained or controlled.

UPDATE 19:41 - Control point end of Eagle Drive.

UPDATE 19:47 - First Hanger has been brought undercontrol - crews working on other hangers now. DM Cockburn Sound has arrived making contact. Fremantle CPL is not required - Canningvale would still like Fremantle 2nd to proceed to assist.
UPDATE 19:50 - FIO enroute to incident - Murdoch SET arrived making contact.
UPDATE 19:52 - MLO enroute - Perth 2nd arrived making contact. DM Hills arrived making contact.
UPDATE 19:58 - Fremantle 2nd Arrived making contact - BELMONT ICV arrived.
UPDATE 20:04 - DM Hills reports Fire UNDER-CONTROL - Belmont ICV being stood down shortly, along with Baldivis LT2
UPDATE 20:13 - FIO arrived making contact - Belmont ICV relaying to 6AR standing down and returning to station.
UPDATE 20:16 - MLO arrived. Jandakot 9.2 no longer required - returning to station. Regional Director arrived.
UPDATE 20:30 - Canningvale reports Fire has been Extinguished - down grading to 2nd Alarm - will be releasing Fremantle 2nd and other crews shortly.
UPDATE 20:48 - Success Pump and LT released from incident and returning to station. FSO and MLO no longer required and returning. Fremantle 2nd Pump and LT returning to station - DM Cockburn Sound returning home.
UPDATE 21:07 - Murdoch Pump and LT no longer required - returning to station - Murdoch SET no longer required going via Forrestfield to replenish equipment used.

**No further updates - Fire is out WAPOL in attendence investigating cause.**
