I stand corrected - that Baldivis did not turn out any appliances - from a good friend who is a camera man for the news, said although he heard the same thing, no Baldivis unit was there :)

So apologies for that 8) :D

Fire was in a private hangar north of RACWA.

2 major fires last night for those who didn't catch on...

First one was a 4th Alarm Structure at Westrac, South Guildford in the Fab shop: Bassendean, Midland, Belmont, ICV, Perth CLP, Perth 3rd, Perth CLP, Murdoch SET, DM Perth, DM Swan, FIO, FSO.

Second was a 3rd Alarm Strucutre at Big Rock Toyota, Balcatta: Osborne Park, Malaga, Osborne Park SET, Perth CLP, DM Perth, DM Swan, Duncraig, ICV, FIO, WAPOL, Western Power, DEC, FSO.

There was a reiginition at Westrac this morning: Bassendean, Midland, Perth CLP, Perth 3rd.

Perth 3rd was also mobile to Big Rock Toyota due to needing quick cut saws to get passed roller doors.

4th alarm incident in Balcatta. dont know what it is or whats going on all i know is that a lot of apliances, dm and directors are there.
anyone have any info???

Alert Summary: The fire that occurred at Balcatta Rubbish Transfer Centre on Balcatta Road, Balcatta is extinguished.

The fire that occurred at Balcatta Rubbish Transfer Centre on Balcatta Road, Balcatta is extinguished.

Fire and Rescue Service firefighters have left the scene safe.

Thirty firefighters and eight fire appliances attended the incident including the combined ladder platform aerial appliance.

The fire which was reported shortly after 9pm last night involved two large stockpiles of household rubbish that were burning under cover inside the centre.

Department of Environment and Conservation Pollution Response Unit conducted air monitoring and analysis and found there were no toxic gases.

There are no road closures in place and no smoke in the area.

Damage to the Rubbish Transfer centre is estimated to be $100 000.

A FESA Fire Investigation Officer is investigating the cause of the fire.

There will be no more information released regarding this incident.
