Welshpool 2nd called 3rd alarm truck fire... Couldnt make out location

Trucks on Fire, 140Welshpool Road Welshpool. Welshpool 2nd arrived and immediately called 3rd alarm, upgraded to 4th alarm

- Welshpool 2nd and 1st
- Kensington turning out MP & LT
- Belmont MP & LT
- DM Central turning out - Responding - arrived
- Murdoch SET
- Belmont ICV
- Maddington turning out

Welshpool 2nd advised that approx 4 - 5 trucks + semi trailor on fire, explosions are currently being heard. Water is being provided by pumps and relay, fire not contained but surrounded.

Perth airport to be advised of fire as it may be the designated flight approach tonight.

DM asking for another PUMP to turn out water shortage...

Water corp advised that they are responding priority and have placed one of their 24,000 litre trucks on standby for this incident

That would be Belmont.

Welshpool road Welshpool. is all i heard. dont know the type or cross street.

Also Water corp attending and I believe I just heard them turning out a 24000lt tank.

We drove past it heading home on Leach Hwy - Flames sky high and thick plumes of smoke - WAPOL - closed Welshpool East Bound.

Belmont ICV on Scene
Channel 96 Fire Ground
DM Metro on Scene
Water Corp Deploying 24,000 Tanker

Maddington enroute

Both Welshpool units on scene.

FLO now enroute to 140 Welshpool Rd - Fire.

22:50 Fremantle 1st enroute to Welshoopl FRS station to standby

22:51 Water Corp have arrived at Fire Ground.

Trucks ansd trailers are on fire at a Welshpool trucking company in Welshpool Road near Moriarty Road.
Fire and Rescue Service crews are at the scene.
As a precautionary measure, people in the area should remain inside, out of any smoke or fumes, with doors and windows closed. Air conditioners should also be switched off.
The incident was reported to FESA at 9.56pm today.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and be aware some roads may be closed.
If you are in the area take advice from emergency services personnel.
People with medical concerns should contact their local doctor or call Health Direct on 1800 022 222.
