Black smoke coming from Mt Lawley/Maylands - what is it?

Post by meg »

Hi all

I don't have my scanner at work but I can see the plume of very black smoke coming from around Maylands/Mt Lawley. Does anyone know what's happened? Looks similar to when that tyre/car wrecking place went up a year or so ago.

Cheers
Meg

Jus caught the news, the smoke is toxic. Im goin to get my scanner 4 sure. Id take it everyone is in BA. Does anybody know how many brigades are there? How the hell does a whole warehouse go up so fast? I can understand the would and mulch piles outside but not the entire place :!: Unless if it was deliberate.

Vk, u better turn of ur air con and stuff stuff under the doors, unless the wind is blowing it the other way.
By the looks of the picture d smoke is goin ur way but i could be wrong

Fortunately the wind appears to be going the other way, but I still am getting some of the smell and it's putrid!

haha. actually... it's skewed a bit because I took the photo from the roof. It's my garden plus several neighbours in line with the shot :)
