I've had a listen on the the WAERN channels that are carrying 6AR and the audio quality varies quite a bit. Really strange because the entire network is brand new!

Anyway, I've put the stream on the new 165.1875MHz Red Hill channel. The audio is better than 162.9875 (which is really muddy)

WAERN channels appear and disappear like an ADHD magic show rabbit so if listeners could let me know if the audio disappears for a while I'll hunt around for another channel.

I it just me or is there an increase in People talking over the top of each other at the moment. I have noticed it for a while now. I can't understand how this can occur. If someone is talking you wait. Your msg will not push the other one out the way. People either need more training or more radio discipline as it is getting beyond a joke. Seriously look at your radio before you talk

yep!! and its not accidently transmitting at the same time, its half way through a transmission they decide they will have a crack. Really annoying and unproffesional!

Hi Folks,

I want to add the midband simplex channels to the DFES stream, adding them to the highband channels already on the left hand audio.

After some opinions: What would be the best way to do it? I can:

* Simply mix the audio from both radios together. (The audio will clash together if both radios receive a signal at the same time)
* Have a relay that disables one radio when the other is receiving. (The audio from the "losing" radio will suddenly disappear... could be confusing)

Which is better?

I don't want to use a single wideband radio like a scanner to receive both bands on the same radio, because scanners aren't very good receivers, and I need to use CTCSS on receive here.

This is the most supportable option.

So just to clarify, what is currently on Left? What is on Right? What will be added? Cheers
Options I guess are scan, priority, mix, relay to override (priority without the annoying clicks). Still using a hardware radio or moved to sdr?
