Discussion: Streaming FESA scanner audio

Post by Gohie »

Thanks for this link. Excellent to be able to find out about fires and movement of applicances, especially in our area when I am at work and a page comes in. Also enables my family to track fire when I am out on the fire ground as we do not have a scanner.

Much Appreciated.

Hi Folks.

The stream was down tonight due to the antenna cable being snapped by a twit who decided he'd try and get away from the police by running through my back yard.

The police did a fine job and caught the guy, but now I have to replace the cable he clotheslined himself on.

Kind of like the idiot that broke into my works warehouse one night, pallets and stuff everywhere and it would have been pitch black so no doubt he/she/it went ass over end tripping over everything. That and he/she/it stole the cheapest item at that end of the warehouse...

Folks, I'm seeing a lot of 'server busy' errors on the stream. Don't forget there's a high capacity mirror site of the stream by clicking on:

Folks,
I've changed the stream radio to a VHF high band radio on channel 306 WAERN (Red Hill) for testing.

Please let me know how it sounds.

Folks,

The stream will be down for an hour or two this arvo. I have to do some work on the radio (including burning a new EPROM that doesn't have the automatic switch-off timer enabled. Oops! )

All fixed.

EPROM without auto switch off timer installed. Picture is the EPROM (chip with glass window, centre) being programmed.

Also added a speaker switch on the control head so I can listen in on the stream radio here without messing with the volume 8)

Enjoy!
