Anyone know whats happening in the city???

Sirens...firetrucks and evacuations...but no-one seems to know whats happening!!
not that I mind, the fire trucks outside my shop are providing a nice distraction

Whereabouts? I've just come from Northbridge and it's all quiet there.

St georges Tce from Bankwest to Westpac banks - all the way up to Hay St Mall where I am - had 2 trucks in front of the store by David Jones...but no idea what they were looking for and too busy to go ask!

It sounded like the David Jones fire/evac alarm going off, along with a heap of announcements. You hear it every few weeks.

Heard them too Cat - Im in the AMP building and both seemed to be in a hurry.

Ok thanks all - I've worked in the city here in this general area for more than 4 years and never heard it all before - let alone seen the offices all evacuated!!
At least it kept us busy here LOL

Certainly has.
It was a routine Building Evac - all 29 Floors.Perth 2nd and 3rd in for a brief visit too

Considering what we were talking about, it was just a bit obvious that the building was going to be evacuated.
