Are you in Perth or Mandurah?

164.000 is usually the best to start you off with.

Look for the oddly titled thread called "One Stop Shop for FESA Information" at the top of this forum.

Channels listed on this file (which is linked from the FESA one-stop first post) that are SoR should get you started.

Whereabouts SoR are you?

I'm not sure what WAERN frequencies are active in that area at this stage - others might have more info on that.

hey if you live south of the river try;

Armadale, Gosnells, Kalamunda, - 55 78.1000, 25 78.3500
Rockingham, - 80 78.4125, 55 78.1000
Serp, Jarrahdale - 80 78.4125, 56 78.1125, 55 78.1000

these are outer metro channels. if you live closer to perth try 55 78.1000 or 51 78.0500
these are VHF Mid Band, or try the new WAERN Network VHF Hi Band
Canning Mills - 164.000

Unfortanly i dont know much about the new network, hopefully someone like Wes (HINT HINT) can tell us which WAERN channels are linked to 6AR/6IP.

hope this helps, any problems let us know and we will help.

Well the Great Southern is not quite complete (working since at least last year) so I'd say it'll be a few years yet.

do not know, will be a few years yet, as the new radios are just coming out. plus there are still a few repeater sites they need to work on in both metro and country, so be a few years i say.

Hey guys our LT we just got a week ago has the new waren radio in it but our old one stil has the same stock standard one. As far as i know to my knowledge the waren frequencies will not be finished for another 24 months although i know 164.00 works micky mouse for south the river Cockburn way.
