The Perth ( and surrounding ) units are relieving the Great Southern units ( Albany, Denmark, Gnowangerup, Mt Barker ... ) for a day or two
If not found then GS units will search on the weekend
the VHF channel used is Ch 200 Gnowangerup
UHF channel is still Ch 112, though if the weekend op is big enough Ch 115 may be used as well
check the lists here for actual frequencies

Canning / South Perth SES were at the annual City of Canning Fireworks on Shelly Foreshore.

2 Incidents they dealt with:

- Help in locating 15year old boy
- Helped in removing bogged cars after the event.

probs not the end of fire season... this is probably the peak...

with the hot weather thats been around, the last thing we want is a fire with cyclonic winds behind it... our brigade has strike teams ready for this weekend

FESA expect fires are going to be of a problem than the cyclone..

My sisters farmhouse near Beverley on the Beverley Mawson Road is still without power since the storm, damage has been cleaned up, tarp on the roof, insurance assessors have been but still no power.
