Ahh, same old story, people who think they know facts, but don't, adding to the disinformation.

I don't believe any 9L cylinders are used by FRS. Standard with the BD96 are the 6.8L composite cylinders, as mentioned. The old steel cylinders (6L?) can also be used, and are mainly used for training or at major incidents. I am not sure if the steel cylinders fit when the set is in twin cylinder setup.

As for the mobilising SOP that everyone here seems to look at as a bible, it is ild, and has several incorrect pieces of information in it. ComCen use other documents, not just this for their actual mobilising procedures, and have detailed response plans for various incidents.

i think we are flogging a dead horse with this issue now, i reckon we have just about everyone in wa's comment on this issue
