they were bought over for that umm so called cyclone and the winds that it was going to bring. Good idea by the team to bring them over for just in case, but perhaps the 2 cv580's would have been quicker to send over than the s61's. It certainly cost FESA a lot of dollars.

All of the Aerial fire fighting arsenal in Australia is Part Federal and part local government/state government and it's all a combination of cost etc. So Wannabee, you are correct in a way.

Helitac 348 C-GJQE S61-N c/n 61703 of Coulson Helicopters does not have a water tank, so I dare say that it has a Bambi Bucket. I have no idea where the helicopter is based, however I would sure like to know where. This is the ALL YELLOW helicopter

Helitac 347 C-GBSF S61-N c/n 61222 of Coulson Helicopters has a 4000ltr water tank underneath based at Perth airport, this is Blue rear fuselage, red strip and white forward fuselage.

Helitac 681 C-FQNG S61-N c/n 61032 of VIH Helicopters has a 4000ltr water tank, based at Perth airport, and has a green rear fuselage, yellow stripe and white forward fuselage. based at Perth airport

Helitac 682 C-FTIG S61-N c/n 61491 of VIH Helicopters (cougar) has a 4000ltr water tank based at Busselton airport. Has a dark blue rear fuselage with light blue stripes and white fuselage.
